Optical Bonding

Taimates Enterprise integrates the touch panel with our TFT LCD Module as a complete touch display solution. Between TFT LCD Module and Touch Panel, we use the double-side adhesive for lamination. Therefore, there will be an air gap in between which creates the inner reflection and reduces the surface brightness of display. This standard way of lamination is called as ”Tape bonding”. However, if customer’s application environment is often used at outdoors, we would suggest customer to upgrade the lamination to “optical bonding”. The optical bonding is to apply the “optical clear adhesive film”(OCA) in our bonding machine to laminate the Touch Panel onto the TFT LCD Module, which can reduce the inner reflection down to less than 0.3%. In this way, the surface module brightness won’t be sacrifice due to outer light distribution, and it significantly improves the visibility of the display underneath.
